The Miami Masters, also known as the Sony Ericsson Open, has been sponsored by Sony Ericsson Communications for the last four years.  Nicknamed the “Fifth Grand Slam” tennis tournament, The Sony Ericsson Open is thought to be the most prestigious tennis event on the ATP and the WTA Tours. It has been designated a mandatory event along with the 4 Grand Slam tournaments. Played at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Miami, Florida, the annual tennis event is part of the ATP Masters Series and is a Tier 1 event on the WTA Women’s tour.
