I was heartbroken when I found out that my boyfriend was an illegal immigrant from Mexico. Despite the fact that I had not known about his status, I still wanted to help him when I found out. I wanted to help him find a way to stay here. I let him know that I would find him the best immigration lawyer in the area. I asked him if he could afford one and he told me he would find a way to pay.
