My son John Michael was about to turn eighteen, and I had a big bash planned for him. I was pulling out all the stops with catered food, festive party balloons, a band, and a motivational speaker. All of his friends, coworkers, and family were coming. Since the event was going to be outside by the pool, I hired a custom decorator. This professional would come out and strategically place all of the birthday balloons so they wouldn’t blow away. The big day is in two more days, and I cannot wait to see the expression on John Michael’s face when he shows up for his surprise birthday party.
