Ontario Second Mortgages Are Common Based on Supply

On the surface, you may say this is obvious due to the large population relative to other provinces. But even if you allow for population differences, there are still going to be more Ontario seconds each year and that largely a function of supply.
The mere fact that there are more private lenders per population than any where else in the country results in the larger per capital second mortgage lending stats.
This is a strong market due in large part to a strong residential reseller market in most areas of the province.
