Richard and I have been wanting to get together for the past few months, but it just hasn’t worked out. Both Rich and I are quite busy with our full time jobs, and we both have girlfriends, so getting together has been nearly impossible. Next month we have a date booked, so we’re going to make sure that it comes together. Richard and I have been wanting to start a band, but we just need to sit down and talk about things first. I want to purchase singing lessons on DVD as a way to improve my singing at home.  There is no way I’m going to pay an expensive coach anymore because I can learn just as much with a guide.  I’ve noticed a ton of courses being marketed by famous coaches.  I’ve talked to a lot of vocalists about different programs.  There are some quality Courses, which show you how to sing scales and use your soft palate.  Just these basic types of lessons can help me if I practice them at home on a consistent basis.  I want to make sure I’m getting something, which is proven.

I was taking a foreign culture class years ago when the instructor decided to do several classes on Latin dancing. Several days of dancing definitely sounded a lot better than taking tests or dry, boring reading. The first day, the instructor said we would be learning to Salsa. There were three beautiful women in the class from Puerto Rico, presumably taking it as an easy elective as they were already familiar with reading Spanish. I was first to answer when the music started, so I was paired off with the first pretty girl. Most people would say that is enough luck for one day. The number of people and the order we went in lined up so that I only danced with those three women for the next two classes. I have learned it is always best to be the first to dance. Come to think of it, some dance bodywear would have been nice.

The baby shower that my sister in law threw for me was a really sweet party. The people who attended it were mostly aunts and cousins who were so excited that a new baby would soon be part of their family. I was touched that they all made such gorgeous gifts for our new little one. My husband’s aunts both are amazing knitters and the blankets and booties and little caps are just precious. I was able to express my gratitude to them in the thank you cards that I sent out the very next day. I want them to know how much I appreciate their beautiful work.

Anybody that is from the great northwest knows how awesome of a place it is to live. One of the best things about it is the bellingham music scene. There a bunch of amazing artists that have come out of this little town and many more are on their way. Have you ever heard of Death Cab for Cutie? Yeah, they are from Bellingham and they are only one of the big names right now.
